If you have sensitive teeth, we recommend avoiding over-the-counter whitening strips and other DIY treatments. Talk to Dr. Shapiro about the best route for your sensitive teeth. We’ll outline a treatment that helps you avoid irritation.

Who can get teeth whitening?

We typically do not recommend teeth whitening to pregnant or lactating women, children under 16 years of age, or those who have had allergic reactions to teeth whitening agents.

Does my insurance cover teeth whitening?

As a purely cosmetic treatment, most dental insurance plans do not cover teeth whitening treatments. However, we’ll help you check your insurance and understand the out-of-pocket investment.
